RTC transit passes
Select your reason for reimbursement to verify your eligibility:
Reason: Purchased Pass Not Yet in Effect
Refund for the monthly pass only.
You must request a refund before the first day the pass is valid.
To request a refund, you can go to an RTC information center or complete the online form.
IMPORTANT – Make sure to have the following documents on hand:
- OPUS card with the pass to be refunded loaded on it
- Transaction receipt with OPUS card number on it
If you go to an information center, an agent will fill out the refund application with you. If the request is valid and you have all the required documents, the agent will be able to give you the refund on the spot.

Reason: Duplicate Purchase
Refund for the monthly pass only if:
- You have two OPUS cards under your name
- You have purchased the same ticket on each card, valid for the same period
- The request is made before the 15th day of the month in which the pass is valid

Reason: Job Loss
Refund for the monthly pass only.
You must request a refund before the 15th day of the month in which the pass is valid.
To request a refund, you can go to an RTC information center or complete the online form.
IMPORTANT - Make sure to have the following documents on hand:
- OPUS card with the pass to be refunded loaded on it
- Transaction receipt with OPUS card number on it
- Record of employment
If you go to an information center, an agent will fill out the refund application with you. If the request is valid and you have all the required documents, the agent will be able to give you the refund on the spot.

Reason: Illness or Hospitalization
Refund for the monthly pass only.
You must request a refund before the 15th day of the month in which the pass is valid. You must be unable to use RTC services.
To request a refund, you can go to an RTC information center or complete the online form.
IMPORTANT - Make sure to have the following documents on hand:
- OPUS card with the pass to be refunded loaded on it
- Transaction receipt with OPUS card number on it
- Medical certificate from the doctor specifying the reason and period of disability
If you go to an information center, an agent will fill out the refund application with you. If the request is valid and you have all the required documents, the agent will be able to give you the refund on the spot.

Reason: Death
Refund for all tickets, by the liquidator only.
To request a refund, you can go to an RTC information center or complete the online form.
IMPORTANT - Make sure to have the following documents on hand:
- OPUS card with the tickets to be refunded loaded on it
- Transaction receipt with OPUS card number on it
- Proof of appointment of liquidator
- Death certificate
If you go to an information center, an agent will fill out the refund application with you and will send it to our Customer Service for analysis. A follow-up will be done within 10 business days.

Reason: Other
For a refund about àVélo:
You can contact our custumer service if you encountered the following issue with the àVélo service:
- Your code expired and you didn't have time to unlock the bike;
- You returned the bike and you are still being charged;
- You are unable to unlock the bike;
- The electric assistance is not working;
- Other reasons.
The reason is not on the list:
If your reason is not on the list, you are probably not eligible for a refund. If you would like to check and fill out an application anyway, please go to an RTC information center.

Reason: RTC drivers strike
Eligible refund for the following titles:
- Monthly and Metropolitan passes (including subscribers to the L’abonne BUS Perso program)
- Session pass
- Monthly Bus + FLEXauto
- Unlimited evenings and weekends

To submit your reimbursement request, you must complete the online form.
Make sure you have the following documents on hand:
- OPUS card on which the leave is encoded
- Proceed to Refund - The transaction receipt from the RTC or merchant
- Receipt RTC Nomade payment (mobile application)
Any other particular refund case must be submitted by Customer Service for evaluation.
